In April 2026, 21 members enjoyed a visit to Crossness Pumping Station in South East London. Master-minded by Joseph Bazalgette, this superb Grade I listed site dates from 1865 and is part of London's first major sewage system. Crossness is famous for its remarkable engineering and magnificent architecture. A true monument to Victorian vision, ambition and ingenuity.

You will discover that the ever-changing scene at Wadhurst & District u3a ensures our members enjoy life to the full. Our annual subscription provides an exciting choice of stimulating activities as well as opportunities to learn new skills and acquire knowledge through our numerous Special Interest Groups.
