We have eight members with a wealth of knitting skills. Our Norwegian member has introduced us to some fascinating knitting done in Norway. Some of us are now knitting slippers, each made up of 8 squares joined together and then folded and stitched up. You then wash with a pair of jeans on a hot wash. Miraculously, the shrunken knitting appears as a pair of felted wool slippers.
Others are knitting sweaters, shawls, bobble hats or crocheting "Granny blankets". Combining this with some lively chatter, tea and home-made cake makes for a very enjoyable afternoon!
